For Bob Dylan fans only - like me

Fat Man has posted a five minute clip of Dylan singing "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" in 1965. Well worth a trip over to blue, serene, peaceful.

As for my next post - the trouble with writing these blogs about my very early life is that they take a lot of pondering. Just trying to remember everything that happened takes time, then waiting for the significance to strike me - well, I just have to wander around the sty a lot striking dramatic poses. But more is coming.

Thanks for the props. If there is an interest I'll keep posting bootleg Bob. I've collected a fair amount or rare goodies.

Goin' to go see Bob in Tucson on April 10. Merle Haggard opens. Haven't seen Bob since '79 in Milwaukee.

Has anyone ever seen "Masked and Anonymous"? It's a quirky movie, but I loved it. I think it was extremely under rated. Bob is, well, Bob. The rest of the cast is a combination of characters from Desolation Row, Tombstone Blues, and Highway 61.

Off to check out the fat man offering.

No, but I just saw "V For Vendetta", featuring a masked and anonymous hero. Does that help? Although I enjoyed it, I think the flick is vastly overrated. How's that for synchronicity?

Leonard - I've never heard of "Masked and Anonymous" before. Do you know how I can find it? I just saw the D.A. Pennebacker documentary "Don't Look Back" along with "Monterey Pop" and a fourof other flicks that he and Ricky Leacock made over the years all in one marathon (noon to midnight) session at the Castro Threatre in SF. Were they ever great!

Fat Man & Chris - thanks for the link.

"Masked and Anonymous" is a dramatic film, though it contains numerous Bob performances. Sony Pictures has it available.

"Would you reach out your hand to save a drowning man if you thought he might pull you in?"

"Against the backdrop of a nation on the brink of revolution, Uncle Sweetheart (John Goodman) and Nina Veronica (Jessica Lange) are slimy promoters planning a benefit concert. They desire the services of legendary singer Jack Fate (Bob Dylan), and soon Fate is sprung from jail. A rock journalist (played by Jeff Bridges) investigates the concert, attempting to determine just who will benefit. Revolution may be raging outside the arena, but Jack Fate and the benefit concert play on as planned." "Masked and Anonymous" plot summary from imdb.com 2003.
