The Umbrella Man's Perspective

"The rain it raineth on the just
and also on the unjust fella,
But chiefly on the just because
The unjust has the just's umbrella."

The author receives this bit of verse in a note from his London umbrella maker. I think it's important to have your own umbrella maker, don't you? However, only the British are up to it. Americans, like most of the world, prefer to pay $1.00 from the street vendor and only after it's actually started to rain.

Anyway, I like that little poem. It's funny and its easy cynicism goes down smooth and neat like the best poisons do.
