Mother and Daughter Out to Walk Across America

I love to walk and have always dreamed of doing a real long-distance walk, like from the southern tip of England to the northern tip of Scotland. Straight through - in one go.

That's why I'm going to be watching Our Hike for the next nine months or so. Go there and you'll find the diary of a mother and daughter team from up in Wisconsin getting set to walk across America, from Delaware to California.

They are just normal people, not professional hikers of some kind and it's great to read their blogs, so real and natural. The daughter is a survivor of aplastic anemia. They hope to raise money for reserach through their walk. I hope they do.

They start the walk on February 4, so this is the time to catch up with them. Highly recommended by the Pondering (and Walking) Pig.
